Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the .NAME TLD is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to secure john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level names remained active.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registration service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no special prerequisites on who can get a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
